    Reminder About Receiving Emails

    Monday, March 30, 2020

    emails being sent
Email is an important way in which EPA communicates with industry. Sometimes, EPA hears that an industry user did not receive an expected email. Although there can be problems with the email being sent from EPA, often we find that the problem is related to industry email configuration.

If you think that you are not receiving email which you should be receiving, you should do the following:

    1. Verify that your email address in the CAMD Business System (CBS) is correct. This is the email address which is used to contact you for any CBS emails and ECMPS Feedback emails. After logging into CBS, check the email information listed under Your Profile.

    2. Verify that your email client and company's email server are able to receive email from the various email addresses from which EPA email might be received. There is an FAQ which provides more information on what those email addresses are.

If you receive emails without an attachment which should be included, you might want to check with your company's IT staff in order to determine if the attachment was removed from the email.

If you have any additional questions about receiving email, please contact ECMPS Technical Support for more assistance.

The 2020 Q1 Reporting Period begins on April 1, 2020

    Sunday, March 29, 2020

    start flag
The first day of the 2020 Q1 reporting period is Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Sources required to report 2020 Q1 emissions data under the Acid Rain Program (ARP), the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR), the NOx SIP Call (SIPNOX), the Texas SO2 Trading Program (TXSO2), the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), and the Mercury and Air Toxic Standards (MATS) rule have until the end of the day on Thursday, April 30, 2020 to submit their emissions data to the EPA using the ECMPS Client Tool.

During this reporting period, the EPA expects to receive approximately 4,000 emissions data submissions. Sources are encouraged to begin working on their submissions as early as possible in order to give them sufficient time to complete all submissions by the deadline.

    Start Early

With the large volume of submissions expected, we encourage sources to start working with their data as soon as possible because, if you have questions you will get a faster response to your technical support request the earlier in the month you submit your request. If you wait until later in the month to begin working with your data and you run into problems that require technical support, your request will be added to a much longer queue of technical support requests.

    Technical Support Information

Information on getting technical support through the resources on the Website or by submitting a technical support request has all been consolidated in the Website's Help section. Technical support would like to highlight that, as necessary, FAQs and Known Issues will continue to be updated throughout the submission period. Hours for technical support are listed on the Contact Us page.

    Resubmission Requests

Requests to resubmit QA or emissions data should be made using the Resubmission Request Form.

    Keep Up-To-Date

To keep up-to-date with ECMPS News items, we would suggest subscribing to the ECMPS News.

You can receive the ECMPS News posts via email by subscribing to ECMPS News or adding the ECMPS News feed to your RSS Reader. A message from the Clean Air Markets Division of EPA

    Monday, March 23, 2020

    envelope

EPA has received inquiries from various stakeholders including utilities, DAHS vendors, stack testing companies, and state air agencies regarding possible limitations on companies and states in conducting QA activities required under 40 CFR Part 75, such as RATAs and appendix E tests, in light of local shelter-in-place directives and social distancing advice. We are currently evaluating options to address these concerns and will provide more information on next steps as soon as possible. Updates will be posted on the ECMPS News site when they are available. The ECMPS News site also provides an option to Subscribe in order to receive email updates.

Please contact Clean Air Markets Division Monitoring staff if you have specific questions.

Software Version and Database Version Mismatch Error After 2020 Q1 Update

    Wednesday, March 11, 2020

    image of a laptop
Several users have reported “Software Version and Database Version Mismatch” errors after performing the 2020 Q1 update. This issue is occurring on client installations still running SQL Server 2008 R2. As a reminder, the minimum supported version of SQL Server is 2014. A complete list of minimum system requirements can be found here.

Stand-alone database users can verify their current SQL Server versions within the ECMPS Configuration Utility (select: Maintenance –> Database Properties). The bottom pane will display the SQL Server version. 10.50.1600.1 and earlier versions are no longer supported. Affected users will need to uninstall ECMPS and Microsoft SQL Server. Once this process is completed, reboot the computer and install the latest version of ECMPS. The 2020 Q1 stand-alone software can be found here.

Please contact ECMPS Technical Support if you have any questions.
